Today is the Fourth of July for Americans and Monday was Canada Day and that means that this week you should be celebrating and embracing the freedoms you have. As makers, entrepreneurs, and creatives, we often forget that we have a lot of independence in our lives. So take some time today to be happy about all the opportunities your freedom from a 9-5 job has given you.
Your freedoms include:
- Being able to spend more time with your family as you set your hours.
- Being able to stay in your pajamas for as long as you’d like every morning.
- Take vacations whenever you need.
- Being able to play every day with your work.
- Being courageous enough to go against societal norms and create the life you want.
- Making as much money as you want.
- Being the boss!
