If you’re about to give advertising a shot, I urge you to do more than just compare pricing.

Sure, a site that charges $100 for a banner ad and sees 10,000 visitors a day might seem like a better option than forking out $1000 for a onetime email ad, but is it?

If the email readers are highly interested in the advertised content because they have a solid rapport with the sender, they could be better for your business than that high traffic site with the crazy high bounce rate or 25 $100 spots that are practically invisible to site readers.

Before you go out and advertise with any venue, do a solid comparison of more than just costs to make the best decision for your small biz.
