PageRank Is Cool To Track, But Meaningless to SEOSome how, some way, I will find a way to stir up a little (or a lot) of fuss. This comes as no surprise to those that know me. For those that do not, I have been doing content writing and professional SEO services for a number of years now. I have experienced every kind of website, content management systems, and sites that, well…..ugh! Tough hills to climb. To this day, my SEO Firm has yet to fail to get any website on Google’s page one…..ever.

As often as I see it and the amount of importance placed on Google’s infamous PageRank system, I am always puzzled as to the very reason why this is ultimately so important. The simple fact of the matter is that you may be a PR6 or 7 and for a chosen keyword, never rank on page one. Yes, these sites do have authority, but just what difference does this make if it is not ranked on page one? Me personally – I could care less about page one. There are so many factors in site visibility (not just search engine visibility).

Most of my clients are brand new websites. Hot of the press. Just released. PR Null…less than zero. I perform tons of SEO for web developers that either aren’t as good at it or simply don’t want to deal with this aspect of the site’s development. When the last php script is written, they call me.

Again, consider that I personally have never failed to get someone’s new site on page one….for what they choose. Incoming links? Non-existent. PageRank? Their pages (as Google’s feedburner puts it) is “still playing with the bubble wrap”. And these very sites I use my stand-by and trustworthy techniques (all White-hat, above-board) to continuously get them on page one. This has happened in as little as 8 hours and as much as 10 or 12 days. After that, get another SEO agent. This one is no good. Period. It is what it is.

Anyway, I often share my SEO expertise with many, but there is only so much you can absolutely give away before you put yourself out of business. And since SEO and Online Marketing is my business (and I enjoy eating), I’ll have to hold back the “golden key.” Just know this for sure….a site’s PR is irrelevant to a first page ranking in any major search engine. It’s really much more simple than that. Trust me!
