Ah, November! A month where change is in the air and gratitude is on our minds. A lot of times during this month we think of the things in our lives that we are grateful for. Do you also take time to do that in your business?

Last week I was all excited and nervous to launch an idea that I had been working on for Handmade Success. About an hour after I shared it on social media I was in the doctor’s office with my very sick 5 year old son. He went from bad to worse fast.

At first I felt frazzled by the timing, hurriedly sending emails from my phone. Then I realized how awesome it was that I was working on something that excited me so much that I considered the doctors visit a wrench in the works. I took a deep breath in and a nice long breath out. I felt grateful for the passion I have for my work and grateful for the fact that I knew that passion would be there tomorrow when I could get back to it. I felt grateful that I could be with my son at the doctors office and that I could spend the rest of the day caring for him.

Do you take the time to be grateful for your passion, your hard work, your ideas, your capabilities? It can be very rewarding to stand back and actually focus on what you have done and what drives you every day.

Sometimes a bad day is just that, a bad day. Other times it is a gift that allows you to truly see what is happening in the present moment and to be grateful for it on many levels.

To encourage you to stop and notice what you are grateful for I made these little worksheets that you can print, cut out and put in your workspace. Use them as a reminder to discover and record what you are grateful for in your business and your life. Who knows, you might end up writing that you are grateful for spending the day with your sick child or even being sick yourself 🙂
